(Oh, and Nick Rhodes too - he was my favorite in Duran Duran).j.crohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05150987206438202375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214408680895350855.post-14379766467983796152009-06-27T09:37:35.126-05:002009-06-27T09:37:35.126-05:00Thank you - A wonderful story of letting the innoc...Thank you - A wonderful story of letting the innocence and beauty of what MJ shared with the world get past your (our) judgments and defenses... He impacted us, uplifted us more than i was willing to admit, and your story brings me back around to not only admitting it, also feeling the beauty that he did manage to share...Everyday Ecstasyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02387673136213280054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214408680895350855.post-36742126652681417942009-06-27T08:50:18.637-05:002009-06-27T08:50:18.637-05:00I'm really enjoying your blogs, too. Our generation probably would relate to this blog more than much of the media coverage.

My reaction, after searching NY Times and other sources to be sure the news was factual, was to feel relief for Michael. I thought, "Good, he's no longer suffering." And beyond that I'm glad not to have to hear more media coverage of his unusual and often very bad decisions. It has been a sad spiral down to the isolation he was in and I was pretty much tuned out. I'm sure it's assuming a lot, perhaps he wanted to live and regain a healthy self image, but I think maybe he just would never have found that again. It is so tragic.Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14756261329114273789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4214408680895350855.post-69927790883109893542009-06-26T21:00:22.531-05:002009-06-26T21:00:22.531-05:00I think this is one of your best blogs yet, J. I have been hungrily reading and watching all the media junk today about the death of Michael Jackson, and no one has captured the tragedy of it as beautifuly as you have. And you made me feel like less of a freak for crying about him too.cjackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10825435413589316190noreply@blogger.com
